Non Return Valve
A non-return valve is a simple mechanical device that is used to allow a medium pressure flow in any one direction. It helps the fluid to travel with a medium velocity in one direction and prohibits the reverse flow of the fluid caused by very high pressure. The non-return valves cause a very high-pressure drop which is a drawback for it. it also helps to prevent the upstream types of equipment that could get damaged by reverse flow such as water pumps.
